Dear Coalition for a DSP Living Wage:
Next Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 2:00pm, Governor Murphy will be delivering his State of the State address in the Assembly Chambers in the State House in Trenton. The Coalition is planning to have a presence at the State House that day to reinforce our message to Governor Murphy that he needs to make DSP wages a priority in his budget by indexing DSP wages. Please join us to show your support!
Here are the details:
When: Tuesday, January 14, 2020, 12:00pm—2:00pm (join us for as long as your schedule permits)
Where: Meet at 12noon at NJ State House Cafeteria, State House Annex Basement, 145 West State Street, Trenton, New Jersey – limited parking available at the NJ State House and in front on West State Street; additional parking in paid lots nearby: https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/legislativepub/directions.asp
What: We’ll get organized at the State House Cafeteria where we’ll have stickers, handouts and signs on hand. From there, the Coalition will split up in small groups and take positions around the State House so we can network with lawmakers. If you’re so inclined, please wear your green coalition tee shirts!
Why: Governor Murphy needs to hear from us NOW as he puts his budget proposal together because the vacancy and turnover rates of DSPs are only getting worse!
Please reach out to Libby Vinson at ABS, Inc. at libby@absnj.com if you have any questions or concerns. Hope to see you next Tuesday!
Sincerely,
Valerie Sellers
